Cure for phone phobia?

Today on the Internets

I hate the phone. Really. I will go to fairly great lengths to avoid calling people. It's not quite so bad when people call me, but I still get really anxious about what to say, how long to talk, whether they want to chit-chat or just get to the point and get off the phone, etc. (Incidentally, it's vaguely comforting to talk to Vickie on the phone because she always sounds as traumatized as I feel.)

But... if the TARDIS rang when someone called me, I might just start looking forward to it.

I know how you feel about the phone thing, I'm just the same way :)

I hate talking on the phone. I'm not anxious, just don't like it. I used to be ok with it...

Darn you, Kat, now I want a Tardis of my own.

I, however, love the phone, unless it's work related. Then I dread it more than root canal.

gosh, i never knew it showed. although the phone terrifies me as well. i find it nice to use for texting occasionally, as you don;t have to say anything, and you can think it out in advance. don't feel bad. i literally become panic stricken by the thought of calling people on the phone. even some people i've known for years.
