Wednesday Randoms!

Randomness

1. Thanks again for all the compliments on Dewey. We had a great night - I'm starting to learn the best way to deal with a very active kitten when I'm trying to sleep. (It involves pretending to be asleep and interacting with him as little as possible.)

2. Today's the last day of my semester! I have loved this class, but the break will be nice. And I have the same wonderful professor next semester!

3. I know I said I was going to start some exciting lace when the semester ended, but I'm going to be a good girl and finish my Secret Santa scarf first. It's almost half done.

4. The kitten is making me into a better housekeeper, because I want to keep things tidy so he doesn't hurt anything or get hurt by anything. This is good, but time-consuming.

5. Speaking of time-consuming, thanks to Cate, I am now hooked on WeffRiddles. Except that I'm stuck on level nine. I feel like I'm overthinking it. Hmm.

6. Nevermind, got it.

7. Is Christmas really in 12 days? Seriously? How did that happen?

Those pesky Weffriddles.

So not going to click on that link. :) I actually kept Chaos out of my room at night for the first year, because he was so active. It helped that I slept with ear plugs. :) He was so happy when he got let in that he behaved admirably. May stayed in the bathroom overnight for the first several weeks, mainly because I didn't trust Chaos, and she was so happy to be allowed in that she's also pretty well behaved... although I do wake up to find my bed cluttered with her little furry mice - apparently she wanted to play fetch and kept bringing me different mice to see if I would throw one for her...

It's a plus, with puppies, that you can put them in a crate at bedtime. House-training trips to the "bathroom" in the middle of the night for a few nights, sure, but at least you can sleep knowing they're not going to get into trouble!

And the Weffriddles are addictive, aren't they? I'm stuck on level 51 at the moment....

Point #1 on getting a kitten to sleep also works with a baby. :-) Sometimes.
