Look, I crocheted something!

2008 Finishes: Crochet

I recently decided that I had to learn to crochet. Well, I knew the basic crochet stitches, so what I guess I had to learn was how to read crochet patterns. Anyway, here's my first attempt:

Osito hat

Pattern: Osito Baby Hat (Warning: pdf)
Yarn: Sugar 'n Cream in brown
Hook: 4.5mm

Isn't it cute? I'm very proud of myself. It will be flying off to a friend's new baby.

That is adorable! Good luck with your eating locally experiment. We do pretty well in the summer, but we don't can or freeze for the winter. It's nice to live in an area with lots of Amish folks. Their chickens are wonderful.

How cute! I'll have to try to see it in person before she takes those boys off to that far away city *sigh* ;) okay at least its still in the metroplex! LOL
