My friend Alyssa Rosenberg is moving into her newly-purchased apartment this week - congratulations, Alyssa! - so I'll be doing some posting over at her place to help hold down the fort while she's busy. Tonight's post is about fans and showrunners interacting on Twitter and how fans shouldn't get a say in creative decisions.

I'm sure fans are crazy - I'm not on Twitter and can only imagine what kind of feedback writers etc are getting - but that said, I don't believe that shows, books, movies etc are all under the dominion of the writer. Producer. Whatever. (Possibly because I don't write. Produce. Whatever). There are a lot of shows that have taken horrible turns for the worse and killed their audience. Was that the story that they meant to tell? Or did they cave to the pressure to make the show more "relevant", "real" or feel that people are like quiet stupid sheep that must be led by the nose to the point? (possibly not quiet.)
