I was just thinking this morning...'why do I have cats...they knock things over when they want attention, they wake me up in the middle of the night to cuddle, they paddy paw my legs (that hurts). I decided that it is because they are so cute when they are kittens, not so much later. But they are good companions, aside from the mousing and mole-ing.
