yeah they are straight needles. blech. its a cool invention, for people who "need" technology. I guess. But i'm with you, i'll stick to my pen n paper! I've tried row counters and they are too iffy (especially with toddlers around :P MAN those things are fun to CLICK CLICK CLICK)

Ummm, no thanks. I'm like you, I keep track of rows with pen and paper.

Sounds like it would only work with stockingnette or garter, not cables or lace which. I only count rows in cable and lace, everything else convert to inches since I'm a bad knitter and never pay attention to row gauge.
