February 02, 2007Yet another UFO Challenge rules clarification2007 UFO Resurrection ChallengeOkay. I'm going to change things slightly, because I don't want to totally leave out people who didn't find out in time to sign up in January. Or people who don't have enough UFOs for the whole year. Or anyone. So. New procedure: 1. Sign-ups are not, in fact, closed. If you name is not on the right sidebar, make sure you comment or e-mail me. Signing up with me does NOT sign you up for the RingSurf ring. You need to do that separately. 2. As I've said before, each month that you participate, you should post (or comment or e-mail here, if you don't have a blog) about your UFO for the month, and whether you're working on it or frogging it. Make sure you make it clear in your post that the project is for this challenge so I don't have to read your mind. If you honestly work on something one month but don't have a chance to post it until the first or second of the next month, I'll give a little leeway with that (again, as long as you make it really clear which month the project is for), but try not to let that happen every month. 3. Each month, I will compile a list of the people who have participated, and post it sometime the next month. (Hopefully in the first week, but things happen.) I will do a random drawing from among the monthly participants for a small prize. 4. At the end of the year, I will put together the list of people who participated all twelve months, and do the "grand prize" drawing from among those names. So, basically, you can sign up whenever, skip months, etc. and still be eligible for the small monthly prizes. But to qualify for the grand prize, you have to have been at it all year. That seem fair enough? Working on January's list now... Posted by Kat at February 2, 2007 01:19 PMComments
I posted my January object here: http://somanyyarns.knitblog.com/?p=511 Posted by: Kirsty at February 2, 2007 03:52 PMI posted my February UFO on my blog: Hanging Garden Shawl. Posted by: Mary at February 2, 2007 04:11 PMI would like to join the ufo challenge please. Heya, Hi Kat, I'm doing my januari U.F.O now and you can see it on my weblog http://handwerkkunsten.blogspot.com/ When it's finished i'll start immediately with the second one and will send you a message then. Do take care, I worked on my Hip Hop Jacket in January and almost finished it. I figured you already knew that because I posted about it but when a prize is involved you just have to make sure. :) Posted by: Tiffany at February 3, 2007 12:45 PMOk my January FO is here http://www.mrspao.com/blog/?p=1290 and I'm shortly going to post my February UFO :) Posted by: mrspao at February 3, 2007 01:43 PMI just finished a project! I posted photos on my site! Thanks - this KAL is motivating me to finish stuff! Posted by: Suzanne at February 3, 2007 03:48 PMWell I wrote about January UFO on this post: http://www.somebunnyslove.com/index.php/archives/coming-back-to-life/. It is my now frogged project that it is waiting for its next assignment I posted about how I did in January and my plans for February here: So... I guess I'm really in the "clean up these danged UFO's mood" cuz I'm in danger of being ahead of schedule. If I start March's UFO project now and finish it before March, does that disqualify me for the grand prize? Posted by: Monica at February 6, 2007 06:28 PMI guess my January project was my Kimono Jacket by Wendy Johnson in Silky Tweed. It was the UFO that got the most attention that month. Thing was, I actually started two hats (and finished them) and a scarf in January. February's goal is to finish my Clapotis! This is definitely motivating me to finish these things. Great idea! Posted by: Andi at February 8, 2007 02:34 PMHi Kat, kind regards. Hi, do we only post when we finish a UFO, or while we're working on it? Posted by: Erika at February 21, 2007 10:17 PMCan we still sign up??? Posted by: Amanda at March 30, 2007 02:17 AMPost a comment
