Morning Coffee has moved.

I'm considering moving to Blogger, for several reasons, so I'll be trying it out this week. Don't delete this link yet, but head over here for the moment. And let me know if you have any strong preferences for either site! (Through this week, I'll be giving you links to posts over there, but it couldn't hurt to add the feed to your feed reader. Programming Note

Good morning! The Morning Coffee feature is going to go on hiatus for a while, to give me time to focus on other projects, including resuming the Demon's Lexicon discussion posts and getting a bunch of other book reviews done and posted. (And some non-blog stuff.) I'll still do some occasional link round-ups, because I just can't help myself, but it won't be every morning. Thanks for understanding!

Announcement!

I am extremely excited to announce that I am now the newest contributor at TheTelevixen.com. I'll be covering Bones, Castle, and The Event for them this season - writing weekly recaps as well as news and other stories that might come up. This means that I probably won't write much about those particular shows here, but I'll give you links to my stories over there. First up - Castle Season 3 Sneak Peek and More! Review Copies

I've gotten this question a few times recently, so I figured I might as well answer it publicly. I am happy to accept review copies of books, screener DVDs, etc. If you send me something and it's in any way within the realms of my various interests, I will do my absolute best to review it. (Things happen, sometimes. You know. But it is certainly my intention to review anything I receive.) Sending me something for free does not guarantee a POSITIVE review, though. I try to be as fair as possible, regardless of how I acquired an item.

If you'd like to send something, e-mail me and I'll send you an address. If the volume picks up, I'll get a P.O. box or something, but it would be a waste of money at this point. Thanks!

Posting from the future?

I tend to have a bunch of unfinished posts (or sometimes just a few notes or a topic, to remind myself I wanted to write about something) floating around, and sometimes that makes it hard to figure out how many posts are actually ready to go and how they're scheduled. So I'm trying a new system: I'm putting a 2011 date on unfinished drafts so they group together at the top of my editing screen and are easier to keep track of. I am now, of course, convinced that I will start occasionally publishing things without changing the date. If you notice something showing up seemingly from next year, please let me know so I can fix it. I am not, in fact, time traveling. Thanks!

I'm just giving up on this week now.

As far as it being any sort of normal week, at least. I'll try to get a few posts up today and tomorrow, but I'm pretty preoccupied with getting ready for my trip. Then I fly out very early Wednesday morning - my flight is at 6am, so I'm planning to leave the house at four. Eesh. I come back the following Wednesday, and then I leave for another quick trip on Friday and finally get back the following Tuesday. So there will be SOME blogging in there somewhere, but I have no idea how much. See you on the other side!

I'm off to visit my family in Connecticut this weekend, so posting will be light.

New format, of sorts

I don't know why I feel compelled to announce this, as it will be obvious enough soon. But the informal survey I did last week suggested that you all like a fairly wide range of subjects, and I know I prefer blogs with more frequent posts, even if they're shorter. So I'm going to try posting a few things throughout the day*, with Endnotes at the end of the day for links or whatever didn't seem big enough to get its own post. Related: I'm sorry for the lack of knitting content. I promise at least one knitting post this week(end).

Sorry about the messed up entries over the weekend. I ended up deciding last-minute to go visit my family, and I posted those two entries right before I left, and didn't notice that the links were all messed up.
