Recently, I've been having major problems using my bread machine. My loaves keep coming out something like this:
Is it me? The machine? The recipes? (I've tried more than one.) Any ideas? It tastes fine, of course, but it's certainly not pretty, and the weird shape isn't very conducive to sandwich-making.

A few things (and keep in mind I haven't had a bread machine in a looong time):
What kind of flour are you using?
Are you using the suggested amount of salt?
When the bread machine is running through its cycles, has the bread risen to the appropriate height before the bake cycle starts or has risen either too much or not enough?
What's the texture of the finished product like? Dense with big holes?
And if in the meantime, someone tells you exactly what's going wrong, feel free to ignore my questions. The shrug is beautiful!!!
